Can You Use Liquid Fertilizer In The Garden Grid™?

Why It Matters

The Garden Grid waters evenly, quickly, and at the soil level. That makes it possible to apply liquid fertilizer, but not all types are compatible. Using the wrong kind can clog the Garden Grid's built-in filter, reduce flow, or require extra cleanup.

What Works (and What Doesn’t)

• Use it if the fertilizer is fully dissolved and free of solids.
• Avoid it ifthe fertilizer contains particles or sediment.

Tip: Let your diluted fertilizer sit in a clear container for a few minutes. If anything solid settles to the bottom, don’t run it through the Grid.

Best Application Methods

Option 1: Apply Around the Grid

The safest and most flexible method. Just pour your diluted fertilizer directly into each square using a watering can or sprayer. Then, water as usual with your Garden Grid™ to get it down to your plant's roots.

Option 2: Through the Grid (Only if Clear)

If your liquid fertilizer is truly free of solids, you can run it through the Garden Grid. Just flush the system with clean water afterward to help prevent any possible buildup.

Keep Your Garden Grid Flowing Freely

• Stick to clear, well-dissolved liquids.
• Avoid thick, chunky, or gritty fertilizers.
• Flush with water after applying anything through the Garden Grid™.
