Great for Travel
"I know, odd title, but that's where I'm coming from. I live in a very arid area in the Southwest US. Our home is outfitted with a 600 gallon rainwater harvesting system WHICH WE USE. However, each barrel only holds 50 gallons. Installing a pump would not be practical so when we travel, we need something that can keep our garden from dying. Enter GIM. I just finished setting it up with internet controlled timers. The water streams are gentle and reasonably thorough. The grid pattern works well with my Square Foot Garden--I have five. In all, I'm very optimistic about the usefulness of GIM (ollas might be noticeable in my photos--long term, I expect to remove them). My ONLY gripe is the use of plastic shipping tape on the packaging. Our recycler has to discard cardboard with this so I had to take some time removing it from the GIM boxes. A paper tape would be much better."
