Bundle FAQ Order and Shipping FAQ
  • Many raised garden beds focus only on the container and rely on either a built-in reservoir (self-watering) system or a separate drip or soaker setup. Reservoir beds store water at the bottom of the soil, which can lead to oversaturation and increased risk of root stress or rot—while still requiring surface watering for seeds and young plants. Drip and soaker systems, on the other hand, often require running main lines, branching tubing, adding pressure regulators and filters, and rebuilding layouts as you expand.

GIM™ Raised Garden Bundles are designed as a complete growing system. The square-ended 17" tall metal beds make it easier to follow Square Foot Gardening layouts and maximize usable growing space. Paired with the included Garden Grid™ and manifolds, water is delivered evenly across the entire bed from the surface down—making it suitable for seeds, seedlings, and mature plants, with flow that’s easy to see and adjust using simple built-in valves.

To expand, you simply connect a garden hose from one bundle to the next. Watering is controlled at the manifold—without pressure regulators, splicing feeder lines, or extra couplings. The result is better watering quality, faster setup, less maintenance, and a clean, organized garden that grows easily season after season.

  • Garden In Minutes Metal Raised Garden Beds are .6mm thick.

That’s .1-.2mm thicker than many competitors, giving you a more durable garden.

  • Bundles come with the following to give you an all-in-one gardening solution:

    • (1) Metal Raised Garden Bed
    • (1) Garden Grid™ Watering System
    • (1) Garden Grid™ Manifold
  • The Garden Grid™ is our pre-assembled watering system that delivers full-coverage, soil-level watering to every square of your garden. Each square provides 16 water streams for even, consistent coverage — helping reduce dry spots and oversaturation. It installs in about 1–2 minutes and connects directly to your hose.

    • Unlike drip kits, there are no tiny, easily clogged emitters or complicated layouts to design.
    • Soaker hoses can break down over time and often water heavily right near the hose, leaving other areas drier. Garden Grids™ distribute water evenly across the entire bed.
    • Basin-style self-watering beds keep lower soil constantly moist and require frequent refilling. The Garden Grid™ applies water at the soil surface and allows it to move naturally downward — supporting healthy roots from seed to harvest.
    • And instead of spraying leaves like misters do — which can increase fungal risk — The Garden Grid™ waters at the soil level, right where plants need it most.

In short: we’re gardeners who designed a watering system specifically for better gardening — simple, reliable, and built to help you water evenly, reduce maintenance, and grow healthier plants with less guesswork.

  • A Garden Grid™ Manifold is the connection point that allows you to link multiple Garden Grids™ together so they can water from one source.

Instead of running separate hoses to each bed, you connect a hose from one manifold to the next. This creates a clean, organized system that lets you turn on one spigot and water multiple garden beds at once.

Each manifold includes built-in flow control, so you can easily adjust water output for your setup — from a slower flow to full stream.

In short: it makes expanding your garden simple and keeps watering multiple beds easy and organized.

  • Yes. They're made for this.
Simply connect a garden hose from the bottom of one bundle's manifold, to another. Here's a video showing how!

  • The amount of soil needed depends on the size of your garden bundle. Below are approximate volumes in cubic feet when filled with soil.

To reduce soil cost and weight, many gardeners use the hugelkultur method—filling the bottom portion of the bed with natural materials that will decompose over time like small logs, branches, sticks, and leaves, then topping with soil. We recommend a minimum of 9″ of soil for healthy root growth.

Approximate soil volume by bundle size:

    • 2×2: 6 cu ft
    • 2×4: 11.5 cu ft
    • 2×6: 17 cu ft
    • 2×8: 21.5 cu ft
    • 2×10: 27 cu ft
    • 4×4: 22 cu ft
    • 4×6: 32.5 cu ft
    • 4×8: 41.5 cu ft
  • Assembly time varies by bed size and experience level, but the simplified hardware and pre-assembled Garden Grid™ keep setup straightforward. Approximate assembly times for the bed, Garden Grid™, and manifold together are:

    • 4×8 & 2×10: ~40 minutes
    • 4×6 & 2×8: ~35 minutes
    • 4×4 & 2×6: ~30 minutes
    • 2×4: ~25 minutes
    • 2×2: ~20 minutes

Times may vary depending on whether you’re assembling solo or with help.

Update since recording: Assembly has been simplified. All garden bed nuts are now flanged, so no washers are needed: just one type of nut and one type of bolt.

  • The raised bed, Garden Grid™, and manifold are designed for outdoor, all-season use.

    In freezing climates, we recommend:

    • Turning off and disconnecting your water source
    • Draining water from hoses and manifolds
    • Leaving the bed and Garden Grid™ in place year-round

This simple winter prep helps protect your system and ensures it’s ready to use again in spring.

  • No. A liner is not required. The raised garden bed is designed to be used without one and provides proper drainage on its own.

If you’re placing the bed on concrete or pavers, some gardeners choose to add a permeable liner or weed barrier to make moving or repositioning the bed easier in the future. When placed on grass or soil, a liner is typically unnecessary.

  • Yes. The raised garden bed can be placed on grass, soil, concrete, or pavers.

On grass or soil, the open-bottom design allows roots to grow naturally and excess water to drain as intended.

On concrete or other hard surfaces, the bed works well as-is. Some gardeners choose to add a permeable liner or weed barrier if they want to make moving or repositioning the bed easier in the future, but it’s completely optional.

  • No. The Garden Grid™ is lower-maintenance than most garden watering systems, including drip and soaker setups. It’s designed and tested using hard, mineral-rich well water to ensure reliable performance over time.

In normal use, maintenance is minimal. If you ever notice the spray pattern change, simply rinse the built-in filter screen—it likely caught debris before it reached the grid. In areas with heavy mineral content, lightly brushing off mineral buildup every year or two is a good habit.

Most gardeners set it up once and enjoy consistent watering season after season with little to no upkeep.

  • Yes! You can supply the Garden Grid™ with nearly any water source—as long as you have the right connection. Most gardeners use a standard garden hose from a spigot, but the Garden Grid™ can also be fed from an existing sprinkler or irrigation system.

As long as your sprinkler or irrigation line has a garden hose thread adapter (a common part at most hardware stores), you can run a hose straight to the Garden Grid™—or connect directly at the adapter. From there, water flow is easy to control using a simple valve or one of our Garden Grid™ manifolds with a built-in valve, keeping everything simple, visible, and easy to adjust.

  • Just about anything. Raised garden beds are great for vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers—from leafy greens and root crops to tomatoes, peppers, berries, and blooms.

To make planting easy, every order includes a plant spacing guide link with over 60 common plants, so you know exactly how much room each plant needs and can make the most of your growing space.

  • Yes—absolutely! Our metal garden beds are designed to perform well in hot climates and often handle heat better than many other bed materials. Proper airflow, drainage, and soil depth help regulate root temperatures and support healthy plant growth, even during long stretches of summer heat.

We test our beds in real-world conditions—including in our home state of Florida—to make sure they hold up where heat and sun are most intense.

  • Yes. Our raised garden beds are bottomless by design. An open bottom allows excess water to drain naturally, helps prevent oversaturation, and supports healthy soil aeration—key for strong, happy roots.

Beds with closed bottoms or built-in reservoirs can trap water and limit airflow in the root zone, which may lead to root stress over time. We keep things simple so water drains properly, roots can breathe, and plants grow better 🌱
